Application

The externally heated salt bath furnace is a batch type furnace used for the heat treatment of metal parts,such as quenching, annealing, tempering, normalizing, no oxidation heating and carburizing, etc.

3. Furnace structure
The salt bath furnace is comprised of furnace shell, crucible and temperature control system.
Furnace shell
The heat treat furnace shell is welded by channel steel and angle steel. The external plate of shell is made of Q235 steel,
which has the feature of solid, reliable, good overall strength and not easy to deform. The furnace lining adopts
refractory fiber with thickness of 300mm. The bottom lining adopts 1.3g/cm3 refractory clay brick and heavy bricks
for vulnerable area. Insulating layer adopts silicate aluminum refractory fiber, and outer insulating layer adopts diatomite and asbestos plate.
Crucible
The crucible is made of 10mm 316L (0Cr17Ni12Mo2) stainless steel plate. It is used to prevent the molten salt
infiltration into insulation layer and the salt groove. When the salt groove is damaged, it can be lifted out for repair.
Heating element
The heating element adopts 0Cr25AL5 resistance belt. The heating element is arranged around the furnace body so
that the crucible could be heated evenly. The furnace bottom adopts refractory bricks.
Control system
The main control cabinet adopts GGD vertical type combined cabinet. The electrical control panel is comprised of ampere meter, voltmeter, temperature controller, temperature recorder and control switches.
